Chairman Lee Eog-weon of the Financial Services Commission appointed the 6th financial ombudsman panel consisting of five outside experts for the duration of two years on October 20. The newly appointed financial ombudsman panel will regularly make policy recommendations to make financial administration and supervisory practices more efficient and address inconvenience for financial consumers. At the appointment ceremony, Chairman Lee talked about the importance of having an independent and objective perspective to effectively address consumer inconveniences amid an ever rapidly changing financial sector environment.
