Chairman Lee Eog-weon of the Financial Services Commission visited Jeonnam-Gwangju Special Metropolitan City and attended the opening ceremony of a regional microfinance support center on September 30. The newly launched one-stop finance-employment-welfare support center in the Jeonnam-Gwangju region will provide microloan assistance in various forms to local residents and small business owners. During the visit, Chairman Lee also had a meeting with a group of local small business owners and talked about the availability of financial support programs specifically tailored to the needs of small merchants. At the meeting, Chairman Lee said that the government will step up efforts to make financial support programs more accessible and convenient for small business owners.
