Chairman Lee Eog-weon of the Financial Services Commission had a meeting with Bob McCooey, Vice Chairman of Nasdaq, Timothy Cuddihy, Chief Risk Officer of the U.S. Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and Tae Seok Yoo, Managing Director of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearings Limited on the sidelines of the Korea Premium Weeks 2026 on September 29. At the meeting, FSC Chairman Lee and the officials had talks on wide-ranging topics related to capital market, such as the tokenization of securities, shortening of the settlement period (T+1), segmentation of market, and delisting of underperforming stocks, to share their experiences in these areas and seek closer cooperation in the future.
