Vice Chairman Kwon Dae-young of the Financial Services Commission presided over the 14th consultative body meeting on policy finance support with officials from related organizations on September 21. Prior to the meeting, the FSC signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund (KODIT) and the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) to build and provide a ladder of growth for early-stage startups. The launch of the startup buildup program in the form of guarantee and lending support offered through these organizations will help to find and cultivate more early-stage startups in new growth industries. In this regard, Vice Chairman Kwon said that the financial expertise and knowhow of the two organizations will come to have a greater synergetic effect in assisting and building a ladder of growth for early-stage startups.
