Chairman Lee Eog-weon of the Financial Services Commission presided over the 53rd financial hub development committee meeting held on August 19. At the meeting, the committee approved the 7th three-year plan for financial hub policy for 2026-2028, laying out strategies in the areas of (a) promoting the development of innovative financial services, (b) taking a leading role to facilitate the convergence of financial and nonfinancial services, (c) upgrading regulations and infrastructures to make the domestic capital markets more foreign investor-friendly, and (d) providing active support for domestic financial companies to expand their business operations overseas.
