Chairman Lee Eog-weon of the Financial Services Commission held a meeting with financial investment businesses and discussed ways to strengthen the management of single-stock leveraged products on July 28. At the meeting, Chairman Lee urged financial investment businesses and related organizations to make sure to promptly implement the measures announced by the government on July 16 and sought cooperation from them to better protect investors and help to stabilize demand in the market. The FSC plans to continue to closely monitor market situation and have in-depth discussions with market experts and investors to be ready to employ additional measures if it becomes necessary.
