Chairman Lee Eog-weon of the Financial Services Commission held a meeting on seeking improvements to the financial regulatory sandbox program on June 19. Over the years, FSC Chairman Lee said that the financial regulatory sandbox program has helped to broaden the horizon of the financial industry, facilitate the launch of more consumer-oriented financial services, and make a digital transformation possible in the financial sector. In this regard, to continue to promote fintech startups and innovative businesses, FSC Chairman Lee said that authorities will provide expanded opportunities to apply for the sandbox program and enhanced assistance in the stage of post-sandbox service operation.
