Accounting Day Designated by Law To Commemorate Importance of Transparency in AccountingApr 29, 2020

The amendment to the Act on External Audit of Stock Companies passed the National Assembly on April 29, which officially designates October 31 the accounting day for commemorating the value and importance of transparency and celebrating the work of accountants.

Every year since 2018, an accounting day commemoration event was held on October 31, organized by the private sector associations and academia. With the revised law becoming effective one year after promulgation, the government will lead the organization of the accounting day commemoration event beginning in 2021.
